[Case #4016] 5.3 - Gateway Convert To Failing

An issue has been discovered in yesterday's 5.3.3 release that affects gateway parameters. We are issuing an immediate hot-fix patch to address it.

 

How to know if your processing is affected

 

This issue does not apply to everyone. If you do not use multiple currencies in your WHMCS installation, or are using gateway(s) that can process payments in all the currencies you allow your customers to use, then your processing should not be affected and you do not need to apply the patch.

 

This patch is only required if you rely on the Convert To for Processing setting and your gateway cannot process payments without it.

 

Non-processing side-effects resolved by this Hot-Fix

 

This Hot-Fix also resolves two other missing parameters, Company Name and Return URL. Not all gateways utilize these parameters the same way, but collectively they only affect the user experience and not your ability to process payments.

 

The Description field usually contains text like "Company Name - Item for processing". The Company Name was missing. This does not affect processing.

 

The Return URL is usually a destination like "yourdomain.tld/viewinvoice.php". The domain address was missing. This does not affect processing.

 

Applying the Hot-Fix

 

To apply the fix, download the zip file from the link below and upload the file contained within it to the /includes/classes/WHMCS/ folder of your WHMCS installation.
