com2
Today I logged in to the admin area and it was a bit slower then usual. Then I looked at the statusbar of my browser and it said it was waiting for google.com. So WHMCS appears to be using Google API. I wonder why? Could that be a privacy issue?
SeanP
It accesses Google's Graphing API to build the graphs on the dashboard.
com2
So the API is hosted by Google and cannot be bundled with WHMCS? Is that because it cannot be downloaded and used on your own server or is that a license issue because WHMCS is commercial software?
SeanP
It's just a service that Google offers, and allows developers to add graphs within their apps: https://developers.google.com/chart/ You can turn off the widgets, on the dashboard, that display graphs. That should stop it from accessing Google, when you visit the admin portal.
