goodgirl
I'm setup with authorize, and I accept American Express. I'm transfering clients to the WHM system now. I noticed when I add the credit card information the field for the CVV2 or CVC2 code only allows for 3 digits. American Express has 4. Not sure if that is a problem on the checkout process or just when adding from the admin area.
PPH
There is only Visa and Mastercard available through the order system for it. They accept AMEX also?
PPH
OK I wouldn't believe that WHMCS had a problem with this and searching around found why it is operator error Only Visa and Mastercard are available by default. I had not set the extra card availability. Upon setting this I find that the AMEX 4 digit code can't be entered through the client area. Might need to be reported as a bug?
Neil Hennigan
Is anyone accepting AMEX via auth.net? It seems that you can enter the 4 digit code at checkout, but does WHMCS accept and store it fine when you do? Or does it at least just accept it?
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted September 12, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted September 12, 2007 The issue number field by default has a maxlength="3" setting but that's just in the creditcard.tpl template file so you can change or remove it if you need to. Neil Hennigan
Wait a minute... I think there might be some confusion here (even if just my own)! Are we talking about CCV or issue number? When ordering, there doesn't seem to be a max length on the CCV, GoodGirl. Are we actually even able to store CCV? Isn't that illegal? I think GoodGirl might be getting issue numbers mixed up with CCV. Neil
othellotech
forgetting the cvv confusion, issue number in the .tpl needs to allow for 4 chars - we just removed the maxlen from it and allowed the 5 of the field length
