mbressman
After reaching out to a bunch of domain registrars that offer reseller services, I've come to the conclusion that there's pretty much no one out there that will simply allow me to keep a credit card on file with them and charge that card when I resell a domain registration/transfer/renewal. I honestly think this is somewhat ridiculous - I don't have hundreds of dollars lying around to just keep on hand with the domain registrars...that's the whole reason credit exists in today's world, but apparently in this small sub-set of it, credit is a no-no. Oh well - what I've decided to do is simply offer my client's domain registrations and I will serve as the manual interface between my own WHMCS and the domain registrar. However, I have a few questions about doing this: 1) I plan to set up recurring billing for the client using their credit card (or mine if necessary) on the domain registrar site, and just let them pay me (if necessary) and manage the domain via WHMCS - am I able to set up a recurring invoice that they can automatically pay with a credit card each year on WHMCS (that does nothing else except invoice them and receives payment - i.e. doesn't submit anything to the registrar, etc.)? 2) I know there are ways to manually import the domain into WHMCS (which is what I'll have to do) so that it can be managed via WHMCS, but I'll need to disable any ability for the client to submit anything payment related directly to the registrar (i.e. a renewal, etc.). Can I do this somehow, while still allowing domain management via WHMCS (i.e. changing contact info, DNS management, etc.)? Any other caveats on doing things this way, or any other better ideas that won't require me to keep funds on hand with the domain registrars? Thanks!

I know at least 1 that can do it though . However, I have a few questions about doing this: If you do option 1 (usually referred to as 'retail' domain registration), you wont be able to do option 2 (the management being a feature of a reseller service) for your proposed solution.
