IE7/Sometimes Firefox 2, can't get past login screen

Hi guys,

I was at a client the other day, walking them through getting into our billing system. They were using IE7. We went to the login screen, typed in their correct info, hit 'Login', and it just took us back to a blank Login screen with no error message. Needless to say, this wasn't a great way to start the meeting.

I've run into this issue before in FF, clearing the cache seemed to solve the problem. But this client never visited the login screen, so not sure why this wouldn't work. Plus, I don't want to have to tell every client that they have to clear their cache before logging into our billing system. It should just work.

Anyone else with this issue? Any way to solve this?

Thanks,

Dan

This does happen with the header.tpl and footer.tpl not being setup properly. Some browsers will not pass the login and continue to give you the login screen. When attempting to login.

Can you please be a little more specific when you say "not set up properly"? Why does it work sometimes/other times not? It's not feasible to expect all clients using IE7 to download a utility just to login to our billing system...

I don't want to confuse you it is not a whmcs issue it is a Microsoft issue with some versions of IE7 and numerous bug reports relating to improper coding. I thought the tool could be useful as a temporary fix. Try using your default template and see the issue will not exist.
