vancreative
I've set WHMCS up on a server with a few hundred active clients and we're preparing to start moving them over to billing with this system (currently on manual billing) throughout the next few months. Starting with a cluster of 30 clients at the start of next week, I'm looking for a few things here: - I'm trying to figure out the easiest way to lean clients into the system, so far we're drafting up an e-mail template that explains that they need to log-in at the new billing system and their invoice will be generated and available there in the next week or so. - - Ideally we want to force a new password to be made, but I tried duplicating the password reset email template and realized the {$pw_reset_url} doesn't work in other e-mails so I'm at a bit of a loss here. Interested in suggestions on how to accomplish this. - Has anyone done something like this in the past? If so, how did you go about accomplishing this task? - If you have any advice I'd greatly appreciate it as well!
Kian
Personally importing/exporting data to WHMCS is my routine. You can get data from your MySQL, CSV, Excel, xml, PDF, TXT or anything elese you have on your old system and push everything into WHMCS, with a custom script, via API. This is a good start: http://docs.whmcs.com/API:Add_Client What is the format of your current data?
