WHMCS CEO Matt Posted August 1, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted August 1, 2006 Hi, You must have been using your cpanel username and password to access the database. You shouldn't really do this, you should setup a user for the database specifically so this does not happen. What you need to do now to resolve it is correct the database login details in the file "configuration.php" in the main whmcs folder. Stealthusa
and i can't redo this without losing everything is there. what i mean is going in making a new db and run the installer again but to have my info that i have now enter back into it.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted August 1, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted August 1, 2006 Why are you making a new db? All you need to do is correct the login details for the existing one. Matt
Stealthusa
well i thought to add it's own username and pw that is what i would have to do on this one.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted August 1, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted August 1, 2006 No, just login to cPanel, go to MySQL Databases. Then create a user, and then assign it to the existing database. Alternatively, if you want you can just update configuration.php with the new password you use to access cpanel and this should resolve the issue.
