Domain discount per client

I would have posted this to "tips and tricks" but I don't have rights to open a thread there...

 

I just migrated from another system. I won't call them by name, but let's just say their initials are AWBS

 

How do I give a "loyalty discount" to a client, that gives them $1 a year, off any domains?

Well for new domain signups and those domains recurring, you can just create a coupon code especially for that client accordingly. Once-off or recurring on every billing cycle. Then whenever that clients domains renew, it will automatically be applied.

The client can also always reuse that coupon code for new domains.

 

Just make sure to make the coupon code to never expire.

if you want a client to auto get the discount without using a code you can create a seperate pricing slab and assigningit to your client

Neither option sounds great. The discount code sounds like it's not going to work on existing domains.

 

The pricing slabs will take forever to setup, and if I ever have to adjust pricing, I have to do it all over again.

 

Is there anything I can do programatically? (via PHP) to automatically make the adjustment?

Pricing slabs are easy to setup, then if you need to make a change of the price at a later date you can use the bulk pricing update addon
