netboxsolutions
Hi I am reasonably new to WHMCS so please stick with me. I am not using this for webhosting/domain etc, instead it is for a subscription service requiring authentication of a MAC address. I know I can use the request cancellation to pause the subscription but I need away for the user to be able to resume the subscription without intervention from me. I can't have the user order a new subscription as the paused subscription will have the MAC address already tied to it. Does this make sense? it's been a long day ! Thanks Steven
And then there was one les
It makes sense, but the problem would require a custom module to essentially allows the restart or an order as new even though it exists. The only way i can see but would mess with your ordering, completely remove the service/product from your clients account, this will free it up again for future ordering. Actually, a hook could also do a check at the provisioning hook point to check if this client has the service previously, you would then adjust the provisioning part of the process, the rest should all be normal IE the actual creation of the subscription setting correct dates and subscription ids so you should not need to mess with those. Failing that, WHMCS do undertake custom works, you could ask them to put together a module for your needs which should eliminate the problem entirely by solving the issues with existing services.

WHMCS Chris
Hello, We don't provide custom development at this time. I'd recommend contacting ModulesGarden or another third party integrator instead.
