Intergage
Hey guys, I work for a company as a support tech but also admin our mail server for our clients. We use WHMCS for the billing side and then cPanel for the client account side. The major account that is linked with out WHMCS isn't working (jenisys.com.au) I went to log onto the cPanel because I suspect the mail boxes are full but when I tried, no username / password would work. The one that is given to me by WHMCS and the cPanel root username / password. None worked. So I attempted to create the account again (Module Commands -> Create) but get this error: Module Command Error Sorry, a DNS entry for jenisys.com.au already exists, please delete it first (from all servers in the DNS cluster). When I attempt to either suspend, terminate or change the package I get this error: _suspendacct called for a user that does not exist. (jenisysc) Can anyone help me out here? Thanks,
WHMCS Chris
Hello, Does the user exist on the server? id jenisysc If not, that's what's causing your error. Also, I'm a bit curious as to why you tried to run the create cPanel account if the account was already created? Did you delete anything? Also, you can just reset the email password (assuming the user jenisysc) exists if you log into cPanel >> Mail Accounts >> Change Password
Intergage
Hey mate, I really can't tell you if that account is active or not, I'm sorry. (I can SSH into the Cpanel account and check if you give me a rough idea how) It was, because everything was working perfect last week. I'm trying to 'create' the account again purely because it told me that the user didn't exist. It's not the 'email account' I'm having problems with (Well, I am but more importantly) I'm having problems with that users cPanel account. I normally access the cPanel accounts from within the WHMCS client product page. Thanks heaps for the reply man. Edit: Wowwowowowowowow. For some reason, inside WHMCS the username was 'jenisysc' inside cpanel.<domain>:2087 (With root login details) I was able to see that the domain jenisys.com.au had a user of 'jenisys' not 'jenisysc' so when I went back into cPanel and change the username, it worked first go. This can be closed. Thanks. Edited May 14, 2013 by Intergage
