"Please choose your country from the drop down box" bug in Registration?

In the "Optional Client Profile Fields" I do not see "country" but when my users try to register for free they get a message "Please choose your country from the drop down box".... but I do not have that in my template. So it seems they are unable to ever register. How do I remove this from the Registration?
