"Error 1" on Payment Attempts

Every time a client tries to place an order or pay an invoice it gives an "Error 1"

This happens with multiple payment gateways, including WHMCS' official 2Checkout module. This module isn't even redirecting to 2Checkout, it just shows the options for paying with a Credit Card.

Everything was working normal until the update to 5.2.4.

We are running WHMCS 5.2.4 with Apache2 on CentOS 6 and i've included the PHP build below

php -v
PHP 5.4.10 (cli) (built: Dec 20 2012 17:10:38)
Copyright (c) 1997-2012 The PHP Group
Zend Engine v2.4.0, Copyright (c) 1998-2012 Zend Technologies
with the ionCube PHP Loader v4.2.0, Copyright (c) 2002-2012, by ionCube Ltd.

Automated credit card charging works fine via cron, it's only when manually making a payment that there is an issue.

We've updated the lang files to the new defaults so it's not a variable not being set. All forms are filled out properly.

We have tried a complete re-install of WHMCS with just our database and it's still occurring.

If you have any suggestions we'd love to hear them

Hi Matt,

Please check if you have any custom hooks tied into the ClientDetailsValidation hook event or template customisations that might be causing this as it doesn't look like something that would come from the WHMCS core.

Matt
