FrankAU
Hi Anyone experiencing with the latest security patch 5.04 customers gets logged out after they add an order through and make a payment? This is what happens Customers Clicked to put an Order through Generated the Order and Moved to Checkout Entered the Credit Card CSV number Ticked Accept Terms and Conditions Submitted Order Issue – Got logged Out Invoice got Generated but Credit Card did not get processed And it is upsetting customers. Upgrade was done from WHMCS Guys about 2 weeks ago and they where contacted back nearly 24hrs from my boss and still waiting. What remedies did you do to fix the issue if any? LDHosting
I think a few people had this same issue with 5.0.4, we had a ticket open for a while but couldn't get a resolution from them, just kept getting told to upgrade to 5.2.3. http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?70419-UNCONFIRMED-Credit-Card-Payments-not-automatically-processing-on-NEW-RENEWAL-Orders&p=306890#post306890
FrankAU
Hi LDHosting, Did you upgrade to 5.2.3 and fixed all the problems or are you still in the dark?
LDHosting
Hi FrankAU We pushed 5.2.3 onto our production site yesterday after doing as much testing as we could in a dev environment. So far so good, but we will get a better idea in a day or two. We had a few minor issues with the crons after the upgrade, but this was more to do with our server config than WHMCS and the issues were quickly resolved internally without needing to contact WHMCS support.
FrankAU
Thanks LDHosting, Unfortunately, we cannot upgrade at this time due to modifications in the version. The thing that I found this week is if I upload creditcard.php for version 5.0.3 everything works but if I upload creditcard.php for 5.0.4 the issue appears again. Anyone found a solution for this. Apparently WHMCS escalated to level 2, but the problem is customers getting upset.
LDHosting
The thing that I found this week is if I upload creditcard.php for version 5.0.3 everything works but if I upload creditcard.php for 5.0.4 the issue appears again. We found exactly the same thing, FrankAU. We were simply told that they would not fix it and to upgrade to 5.2.x I'm pleased to advise this issue has been resolved in the latest release of WHMCS. Therefore I kindly ask that you upgrade to version 5.2.3 to resolve this That's correct, we don't release bug-fixes for previous branches. Security updates do tend to get applied to older branches, but bug fixes are always fixed in newer releases of the current branch. Good luck!
FrankAU
Hi LDHosting, Thanks for that info. For WHMCS this one now. Is this true that if a bug is issued for something that WHMCS issued as a security patch. They did not tell our boss that if we put a patch of 5.0.4 we will break the Credit card payment system. This is really never heard off. Also looking at this forum 5.2.3 has the same issue but with applying credit. So if we upgrade then it is back again to ground zero http://forum.whmcs.com/showthread.php?71410-Apply-credit-not-working
