Quantum Vault - client pay with stored card

Most of the Quantum Vault integration is working well for me...

The following features DO work for me:

- client pays for first invoice (vault customer is created)

- client can update their payment info

- recurring payments go through automatically

- from the admin panel, I can charge the client card with the "Attempt Capture" button.

But if I send a new single invoice to a client, they must enter their card number, exp date and CVV again, even though they have a stored card setup successfully with Quantum Vault. Why is there no "pay with existing card" option for new non-recurring invoices?

I feel like I must be missing something obvious. Any pointers appreciated.

My Quantum Vault Client Management module adds the feature to pay with a credit card on file. Clients can also add and remove their credit card on file, even if they have not paid an invoice (no first invoice required).

I am currently working on an update for WHMCS 5.3.x, that will be released within a couple days (WHMCS has changed things from 5.2.x to 5.3.x with one of the API calls used).
