Card Expiration Data does not show upon port and upgrade to latest WHMCS version

We moved our billing database to RDS and installed WHMCS on an EC2 instance. We copied the configuration.php file and everything seemed to go smoothly.

 

HOWEVER, we do not see the expiration date NOR the CC security number. We can live without the security number but we absolutely need those expiration dates. I've looked at the blob field in the original database and in the ported database and the information has not changed, so the expiration date information is clearly in the table.

 

My guess as to why the expiration date(s) are not showing is that there was a modification in the tblclients table and that the upgrade was performed before the database was properly ported to RDS.

 

I would appreciate any help in this area since the whole system is useless without the credit card information. I repeat, the information is IN the tbleclients expdate field but does NOT show in any of the records when we pull them up in our site.

This is an old problem that we go through as well. You need to make sure you are EXPORTING your whole database in whatever characterset you are using, and IMPORT it the same way.

 

So if you are using UTF8 - make sure you do a backup or export IN UTF8 and restore using the SAME.
