doggypaw
Hello there, when I'm trying to create an account from WHMCS on a remote VPS which I've set up, I get an unknown error. Interestingly, on the module debug log, the response from the server is this: Array ( => Array ( [HEAD] => Array ( [META] => Array ( [TITLE] => 404 Not Found - Web hosting provider - Bluehost.com [LINK] => Array ( [LINK1] => Array ( [META2] => Array ( [META3] => Array ( [NOSCRIPT] => Array ( [sTYLE] => .live_chat{display:none;} ) [LINK4] => Array ( [LINK5] => Array ( [sCRIPT] => ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) ) Does anyone know how to help me so that I can create these accounts without getting errors? My WHMCS is installed on a bluehost reseller and the account I'm trying to create should be on a remote VPS (Nothing to do with bluehost!) Thanks!
doggypaw
But that's the thing - the account is supposed to be created on a remote VPS which has nothing to do with bluehost! It's meant to be going to s1.doggypaw.com which is a subdomain hosted on bluehost but the IP address points to the vps server. This is why I'm confused...
doggypaw
"It seems you're calling a BlueHost URL with this response. Try using directly an IP address rather than hostname to ensure that's not the problem." What do you mean by this? The url that is being set up is hosted on bluehost (but will be transferred soon), but surely that wouldn't stop the account being created on the vps?
WHMCS Chris
Hello, If you look at the error it gives the idea of what's going on: [TITLE] => 404 Not Found - Web hosting provider - Bluehost.com It seems you're calling a BlueHost URL with this response. Try using directly an IP address rather than hostname to ensure that's not the problem. Also, bluehost has a custom login page which breaks utilizing the cPanel API (on the reseller accounts). So please also ensure that you're attempting to create on your VPS, rather than your Reseller acct.
WHMCS Chris
To add, you're ultimately getting this URL when you're making your call for some reason. So it seems a misconfiguration is in place. http://bluehost.com/xyz
doggypaw
I don't see what misconfiguration that would be as as far as I know, the server is set up correctly. WHMCS is hosted on a bluehost reseller and the url i want to create the account for is on bluehost too (though it doesn't create a 404) so it's confusing me a lot.
doggypaw
Where do you think the cause of the error could be found as I'm new to all this, and I don't know where to start!!
doggypaw
the URL is s1.doggypaw.com which is hosted by bluehost but has an A Record to the server IP which is (for example only) 100.65.56.74 and this is the same IP Address. The account I'm trying to make is for deanroberts.net which is hosted by bluehost currently. Does that give you any clues?
WHMCS Chris
Well, what's the URL you're trying to connect to for account provisioning? The IP/Hostname you've placed in the server module.
doggypaw
So basically, the IP addresses are nothing to do with bluehost as they're the direct IP for the server... only the server url (s1.doggypaw.com) is in any way associated through bluehost and that has an A record pointing to the server ip. Funnily enough, if I type in the url to WHM manually in a browser using the url, I can get to WHM no problem.
