WHMCS New Version Release Date?

rhbkweb

Question

Hi,

I very interested in buying WHMCS to use it as my billing and client manager, but from what i have read the last / most recent version still has too many bugs and problems.

I see the it was released about 6 months ago. So can someone from WHMCS team tell me what is the expected release date for the next WHMCS version?

And also, do you have any kind of roadmap or bug tracker available?

Thanks

Hi,

Can someone from WHMCS official team respond to this thread and tell me what is the estimated date for the new WHMCS update?

Thanks

As far as I'm aware, WHMCS do not specify release dates - when it's ready for production use, it will be released.

What v.5.1 "bugs" are you concerned about?

Hello,

Release:

We do not have a specific release date in place at this time unfortunately. We are actively working to finalize a couple of projects to be included in 5.2, however due to those projects we cannot specify a time frame. We are hoping to have it available shortly (shortly being up coming weeks) but cannot set a time for it as of now.

Roadmaps:

We will be introducing that after 5.2

Bug tracking/submission:

We currently have a forum section for this:

@WHMCS Chris Thanks for the information. Tell me just one more thing: If i for example buy today WHMCS will all the bugs and patches that are available on your Bug tracking/submission forum be already included on the WHMCS version that i will download today or after i buy and download today i still have to apply manually the patches listed on your Bug tracking/submission forum section?

Thanks

As the Bug Submission forum section allows for open submission, quite a few submissions are not actually bugs. There are a few that are actual bugs, and have patch files, but unless they are security updates it's not available in the current download.

Regarding the latest release available for download:

Currently - we only update the available download with security patches. In the future, all available bug fixes will be applied, and thus with the auto-update utility it will be available to those with an active license.

If you'd like to discuss this further outside of the public forums, please feel free to message me here.

@WHMCS Chris: Thanks a lot for the information. I just have one more question to you if you don't mind:

I have just 2 days ago, download and install a new and clean WHMCS license on my server. So this is the last WHMCS version. Can you advice me or tell me from the Bug Submission forum, if there are there some important updates or patches that i should apply on my WHMCS? Im asking you this because its first im using WHMCS and you said that not all things posted on the Bug Submission forum are real or happen to all WHMCS installations.

I really appreciate your help and advice on this.

Thanks
