TheAlternative
New to WHMCS, from what I've worked through so far I must say it is a powerful application! One hiccup I can't seem to figure out though: For some reason my host package information such as bandwidth, storage space, email accounts, etc are not showing up in package options for purchase. The package names and prices are there, and even creates the package as expected in WHM. It's like WHMCS is not getting the package information to display from WHM. Any ideas or suggestions? Thanks in advance!
striddy
It's like WHMCS is not getting the package information to display from WHM. It doesn't. Did you fill in the "Product Description" on the Details tab of the product?
TheAlternative
Thanks for quick reply. I do have a description filled in, and that appears properly. It is the package details that are not there. I wouldn't have an issue with filling the information in manually, but the help tutorial and other setup directions say to just enter the WHM package name i.e. seller_packageone. That implied to me that bandwidth, storage, number of email accounts, etc would be defined in WHMCS by the WHM package. Have I misunderstood this portion? I'm probably not explaining this well in my newbish, this is the part from the WHMCS documentation I'm referring to: To setup a cPanel package, go to Setup > Products/Services > Products/Services. From there, you can create the product and configure the general settings and pricing info as normal. When it comes to the Module Settings tab, select "cpanel" in the module dropdown field and then for a shared hosting package: In most cases, you should create a package inside WHM itself (in Packages > Add a Package) and then just enter the Package Name into WHMCS exactly as it appears in WHM (leaving all the other fields blank)
TheAlternative
After a little more guidance in another forum I see what you mean, the information has to be entered in the description field. The WHMCS demo site has the Comparison order template with nice blocked details for each package, I assumed based on the setup instructions that I would get this format automatically. So I'll code in some HTML to get that format. Perhaps this will help anyone else starting with WHMCS, as it was not obvious immediately to me that the description would need to be HTML formatted. Cheers!
