keneso
Hi. How would you bind purchase of product one to purchase of product two. Specifically when getting SSL you need dedicated IP as well, how would be best to set up them so that when SSL is ordered IP is added to the order? Thank you

Kian
Let's say that SSL costs 20 € and IP 10 €. Make the SSL product with price 30 € and specify that IP is included. Anyway you sould duplicate products because only your hosted-customers need SSL+IP. If i have a website with a different provider i need just the SSL then... SSL with IP included (30 €) SSL (20 €)
keneso
Thank you. I had thought something like that, I just wanted to avoid having the "extra" product, but I see your point I should add IP only as well, since someone could have (purchase) SSL somewhere else, so I'd have SSL+IP 30 SSL 20 IP 10 Would you put IP as addon, or as product? Will there be any difference?
Kian
Most of people (even some hosters!) don't even know that SSL requires a dedicated IP. In past i used "Dedicated IP" configured as a configurable option but i had many problems with non-expert customers so i was forced to make it more explicit: SSL+IP or SSL with a big red text "IP is not included".
WHMCS JamesX
SSL doesn't necessarily require a dedicated IP address; it depends on the server environment and how ancient the visiting clients browsers are.

WHMCS JamesX
Would you care to elaborate please? Server Name Indication (SNI) You can find some more information about it here as well. Edited December 25, 2012 by WHMCS JamesX
