Looking for a little help with domain resellers

I have sucessfully moved all my retail accounts to whmcs..

But i have a number of domain resellers, They order on renew domains on their account, but register the domains in the clients name.

They have a credit limit, they register away for the month, then pay everything they have done by cheque

What is the best way to handle this? Or am i best keeping it out of whm?

Let them "manually" register domains with you for their customers. They'll use "Additional domain contact" on chechout to register the domain with names of their customers. It's a very common situation with Web Agencies. Alternatively if you have the end customer directly registering domains with you in this case you should set up an unbranded version of you WHMCS just for them and a couple of hooks to "link" them to the credit balance of the reseller. Trust me, it's not so complicated.

Yes, i mean go through the normal purchase process.

How do i set it, so that they do (do not?) need to pay at the checkout, but the names get registered, and the pay at the end of the month?

I don't understand your question. You want them to pay normally on checkout or at the end of the month? I suppose that you mean the 2nd option. In this case you can create a client group (let's call it Web Agencies) with 100% discount based on domain pricing slabs. In this way they can register domains without paying. At the end of the month, with a script based on cron-job (crontab line: 0 0 30 * *), you bill them with standard prices. Anyway i suggest you not to do this because it's too riscky. I mean they can register domains for free and they could refuse to pay the invoice at the end of the month. In my opinion you should find a different approach also because in this way you'll have millions of "0.00 euro" invoices.

sorry yes i meant do not..

i already have a system outside whmcs where a select few resellers can register without paying, then pay at the end of the month... i had hoped that they could go into whmcs, but it sound easier to keep them out..

any smaller or new ones i will make them pre-pay and use whmcs

thanks
