how to remove items ie support desk

Would like to remove some the features of whmcs but not all is there anyway to remove the links for support desk so customers don't see that we are using another program for this. Also link for download section etc just want to remove features not being used or needed.

This can be done. You need to edit the correct .tpl files in the templates directory in your WHMCS install.

To be a bit more specific, I think these menu items are located by default in the header.tpl file within the correct template folder.

 

For example, if you were using the portal template, the file you would edit would be templates/portal/header.tpl

Sorry mean to get back here yesterday to say I figured it out. Yes your correct was in the header.tpl file. Thanks for your input.

Also its a good idea to create a custom template folder to use when making changes to templates. Otherwise the next version of WHMCS might overwrite the changes you made.

good idea floyd, I just duplicated my custom design from the portal folder into a new one, in case I forget during the next update

Thanks but it wasn't my idea, wish it was. I read it somewhere else here. I forgot who said it. Using this method though you can create several custom designs and switch back and forth to see which ones you like better. You also don't chance messing up a current working design.
