eNom update for .eu transfers

Got this email this morning, are any updates required for WHMCS?

Dear eNom Resellers,

Great news! Recently, EURid, the .EU registry, made changes to the way .EU domains are transferred and updated. The process is much simpler now and will be more like other common domain extensions. As a result, you will need to update your process for handling transfer and contact update requests by using existing API calls for transfers and contact updates that you are already familiar with.

Here’s a summary of the updates beginning November 21, 2012:

TRANSFERS:

Transfers will now require an authorization code. The registry will no longer send email confirmations to the registrant contact to complete the transfer. With proper authorization code, the transfer will happen immediately, there is no transfer grace period.

Transfers will need to have the Registrant agree to the Registry Data Transfer Policy (you should already be asking for this today).

CONTACT UPDATES:

Contact updates are free and immediate. EURid used to force a Trade, which was billed to your account, for updates to certain registrant contact information. Instead, Registrants are now able to freely update any information on their contact details.

These updates are now available on our reseller test area at http://resellertest.enom.com and you may begin testing at any time. There is a hard cutover to production on November 21, 2012, meaning the new rules will be in effect and the existing rules will no longer be supported.
