Storing related account information with custom provision module

When performing the CreateAccount function, I need to store the user id related to their provisioned service within their account in WHMCS (this is not a config option or a custom field). The user id is not ever needed to be shown to the customer. How do I do this and how do I reference this field when doing UsageUpdate?
