jonthorpe
Hi All, For most web applications we run, we use use Kerberos for authentication and LDAP for authorisation with Active Directory at the back end. This ensures people don't have to type passwords into applications and we don't have multiple applications storing passwords. We're looking at implementing this for WHMCS, however we seem to have hit a roadblock with respect to what is exposed by the API. Looking at the latest release notes (http://docs.whmcs.com/Version_5.1_Changelog#API), there's a reference to "AutoAuth support added for admin area logins". At odds with this, WHMCS Support however tell me that there is "no AutoAuth support in the Admin area", which leaves me to wonder, what they've put this in the release notes for? Has anyone attempted to implement third party authentication for the WHMCS Admin area? Thanks!
jclarke
It might be worth pointing that out in your support ticket and ask for your ticket to be forwarded to a developer. I saw in the change log that autoauth for the admin area was added but I can't find any documentation on it.
