Casey03
Morning all, I have currently installed WHMCS and all the basic settings seem to be working fine. I am aware that this was mainly designed for web hosts but from what i was told it can be used to supply other products online. My reason for giving this a chance is the backend is simple and easy to use. invoicing and auto setup works great. But i need to make a few changes before i fully commit to this software. I need to be able to create custom order forms. nothing based on web hosting or domain. I think there is an add-on called Customisable Packages. Has anyone used this? Are you able to create custom forms that are not linked into any sort of web hosting package at all? I would also like to be able to remove options from the client area. Now i would like to think i can disable these in the backend some where, but i can not find it. The sort of items i am looking to disable/remove are Domain Checker, Server Status, Announcements. They are located in the portal area. Any help or information on how and if this can be done would great! Thanks in advance!
othellotech
Yes you can create order firms for non-hosting products - just define the product as type "other" when creating it, you don't want the custom package module, as that's for cpanel hosting. To remove things from the client area, you edit the .tpl files in your chosen template
