How to enable aging cpanel paswords through whmcs account area?

Hi,

I have recently found the 'aging passwords' feature in WHM which I would like to use but I have disabled the 'change password' option in cpanel to force clients to change their password via their client area in whmcs.

I figure if I enable the 'aging passwords' feature in whm then clients will change the passwords and it will not sync with whmcs.

This year we have had about 8 or so phishing attacks on sites and we want to put a few security measres in place.

Appreciate any tips.

What you could do is build a add on module that adds a nightly task that searches when the last time a cPanel password was changed by looking at the client activity log. If the password needs changed, you can then have it send the user an email that their password has expired and should be changed ASAP.

Hi,

Thanks for that... great idea... trouble is I am not the guy that knows how to do that?

Is it hard? how much do you think it would cost to get done? surely someone has thought of this before?

Appreciate any pointers : )
