CCSupport
Hello all, I wonder if anyone (including any WHMCS staff) can help me...... I have a new installation of WHMCS and want to use WorldPay as a payment gateway, however before I go ahead with this I need to know if the site needs to be PCI Compliant. As I understand it, you don't need to be PCI Compliant if the payment gateway/shopping cart only forwards the person making payment to the gateway address, therefore NO credit card information is kept or entered within the shopping cart / WHMCS. If however when someone makes a payment the credit card details ARE entered within the cart / WHMCS then the server/owner of the cart is required by law to adhere to the new PCI regulations. Now my issue is you have to jump through a few hoops and pay to be PCI compliant....plus the onus is on me if there is ANY fraudulent activity from my cart......So I really don't want to go down the PCI route if I can help it!! ANY help or guidance would be very much appreciated. Cheers G
CCSupport
This one is now resolved. Turns out that the WorldPay FuturePay module does all payments offsite therefore no PCI Compliance issues for me...very happy indeed!!
