Sunburnt
Hi Matt, any plans for an AWBS import scipt? If yes, any timeline in mind?
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted July 24, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted July 24, 2006 Hi, We could create an AWBS Import Script. If you are willing to send in a copy of your database to allow the import script to be made we can have it ready for the release of V2.5. Regards, Matt
Sunburnt
Great! Would you consider creating the script for DRAMS v1.2.6(before they rebrand to AWBS)? Would an empty database be useful? I can't provide a db with all my customers' info in it.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted July 25, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted July 25, 2006 Hi, No, an empty database is no use. We would require a database with clients info in to be able to see how records relate between the tables. Matt
DataHosts
Sunburnt, Best to backup the DB, import to a test DB, delete all the information, and then just do a bogus DB with client information. Just make sure that the information is understandable. The better the DB is to understand, the quicker it can be done.
Sunburnt
Thanks datahost for the suggestion. Matt, any tentative schedule for releasing a DRAMs/AWBS import script yet?
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted November 6, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted November 6, 2006 Still looking for a database export in order to create an AWBS Import Script. Anyone got anything they can provide? Matt
TWD-Tony
Yes - one of my businesses uses AWBS... Where do you want the SQL dump sent? PS - I haven't even ordered WHMCS yet I am just browsing the forums looking at what it can do... lol
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted November 18, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted November 18, 2006 Hi, If you could provide a database dump that would be a big help! Please send it to info@whmcs.com Matt
TWD-Tony
Email Sent  Where do I pick up my reward? - Only kidding, I am *THINKING* about switching billing systems but not until you have perfected the AWBS import script... And your online demo works!
TWD-Tony
Any news on this yet? I don't mind moving the clients manually - but ideally i would want there passwords importing from AWBS so that disruption is at a minimum.
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted December 1, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted December 1, 2006 Hi Tony, An AWBS Import Script is now written and we are looking for some testers to give it a try. I'm sending you the script by email now. Let me know how it goes. Matt
TWD-Tony
For anyone waiting for this import script - it works like a dream It imports just about everything from AWBS except billing system log-in password (but it does create new random passwords that you can mass email to your clients). All-in-all it worked brilliantly... Well done Matt  EDIT: I've just noticed that it didn't import dedicated server clients properly... It imported the client and the dedicated server but it didn't tie the two together????? (it was quite easy to manually put the two together though)
disenioweb
Hi TWD-Tony -If i dont use paypal as a payment gateway in AWBS, i use checks...will this script work fine ? Thanks
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted December 3, 2006 WHMCS CEO Share Posted December 3, 2006 Hi disenioweb, Yes, the script will work no matter what payment gateway you use. By default, all imported accounts are set to PayPal Invoices. If you want to mass change all your clients once imported to a different gateway (eg. Mail in Payment) just open a ticket and let us know - it's very easy to do. Matt
