[Addon] Proper Time Billing

Recommended Posts

Zyte is proud to announce our first commercial addon for WHMCS: Zyte Time Billing!

Zyte Time Billing is our reaction to the somewhat clunky way that WHMCS handles time billing. We are web designers and developers first and do a lot of work for clients where we need to charge per hour. To those of you who have used Freshbooks in the past, this addon will feel completely familiar!

Main features:

  • Client-specific time entries
  • Client-specific hourly rate (with a default set up)
  • Easy invoice generation of all time entries that have not been invoiced before
  • Full AJAX support making it lightning fast to add entries
  • Ability to automatically send the invoice after it was created
  • Creates beautiful invoice entries
  • FREE version with backlink in the client area for testing
  • Seamless integration with the WHMCS invoicing system

Need other options and/or features?

Leave a message here on the forums or open a support ticket. We generally do not charge for any changes to our addons unless it is something very specific to your needs. If we believe it will benefit the functionality of the addon we will add it for free!

Get it now!

The addon is available for FREE with a backlink on your client area. This is mainly for you to test things out. Alternatively, you can buy the final product here to remove the backlink.

DOWNLOAD You can easily upgrade the free version by entering a license key in the admin

This is where you add time entries per client. You can also update the hourly rate and create invoices here. The calendar is fully interactive: Clicking on an entry lets you edit it, clicking on a day opens all the day's time entries.

Installation instructions

  1. Download the addon from our client center or here
  2. Unpack the addon
  3. Upload the addon to your whmcs/modules/addons folder
  4. Go to your WHMCS -> Setup -> Addon Modules
  5. Find the "Zyte Time Billing" module and activate it
  6. Click "Configure" next to the addon and enter your license key and the default hourly rate
  7. Done! You can now access the addon via the Addons -> Zyte Time Billing menu

Tips

  • The hourly rate works the same as any other price in WHMCS - either tax inclusive or tax exclusive. Keep this in mind.
  • When generating invoices, you can leave one or both of the date boxes empty for easier selection
  • When removing this addon, it will NOT remove the database tables. This is to prevent mistakes and losing all your data. You can manually remove these from your database: "mod_zytett_settings", "mod_zytett_client_settings" and "mod_zytett_time_tracked"

Any feedback is appreciated! We are using this addon ourselves to bill clients so you can be assured that we care for our product!! Any ideas to make this an even better addon will be properly considered.
