jjtrottier
I just installed WHMCS and noticed it still relies on the classic php mysql libraries. Are there are initiatives to move this towards mysqli or PDO?
tomdchi
I would like to know this as well especially since php 5.5 will not support mysql in favor of mysqli and pdo.
SoluteDNS
WHMCS will surely move on however a PHP 5.5 release will probably not come anytime soon as the decoding software company does not plan to release there PHP 5.5 encoders anytime soon as well. In addition converting to a database driver requires considerable changes in the code of WHMCS what does require extra testing also. It is more likely WHMCS will switch in a major release. I cannot answer time frames however I won’t be surprised if it takes another year.
