camosawus
Well everybody, now that the Distribute IT module is active and working, does anybody have some tips for success. Due to .au domains having a $0.00 transfer fee and no extra time allocated this poses an issue for us. I have been in conatct with DI and they advised for domains inside 90 days the period needs to be 2 years but ouside the period should be set to 0years. Does anybody know how to do this? ehallein
I too have this issue. According to distributeIT if you set up the domains as follows For Domains expiring inside 90 days from transfer, period=2 Cost = Cost price for domain For Domains expiring outside 90 days from transfer, period= 0 , Cost = $0 it would work as a stop gap (ie there would be two in the drop down). However it seems that (logically) you can't select 0 year for a term, so no good sorry. This is a major issue for this module as the registration will fail if the above requirements are not met. Also I noticed that for domain names the are registered with distributeIT that the expire dates are not updated, so it seems that whmcs is not doing any date checking on the domains. please fix
WHMCS CEO Matt Posted July 23, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted July 23, 2007 In instances where this occurs, and you'll see the failure message in the activity log and the domain will remain pending as it can't be automatically processed, you just need to alter the registration period after the order has been received to zero to submit the transfer request from WHMCS, then set it back and add a credit to the clients account so that when that renewal is next due, the amount they paid for transfer which wasn't used gets applied to the next invoice. WHMCS CEO Matt Posted July 23, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted July 23, 2007 Yes, when WHMCS receives a successful result from the registrar the dates will be updated to the current date + registration period. It doesn't receive the date back from the registrar. Matt
