How to manually disable a module?

I've been having some difficulties the past few days regarding WHMCS' admin area. What seems to be happening is twofold: the SSL handshake for HTTPS seems to be going very slowly, and I get 403 errors for some documents despite the fact that they do exist in the target locations, for example:

99.240.248.166 - - [27/May/2012:22:38:30 -0400] "GET /includes/chat/adminsessions.php?method=new&_=1338172737706 HTTP/1.1" 403 3038 "https://www.vtelectronics.net/admin/configgeneral.php" "Mozilla/5.0 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; rv:12.0) Gecko/20100101 Firefox/12.0"

This is the live chat module from http://www.whmcsaddons.com

I am unable to disable it normally to attempt to see if the problems are caused by this module, is there a way through mysql queries or the like I can manually disable it?

Attempting this through the admin area results in a HTTP500 error.
