chmod permission

Hi

 

Ive set templates, downloads and attachments to 777 and moved them to /home/whmcs

 

however on trying to visit the site, I get a

Permissions Error

The templates compiling directory '/home/whmcs/templates_c/' must be writeable (CHMOD 777) before you can continue.

If the path shown is incorrect, you can update it in the configuration.php file.

 

the permission are definitely set correct, see below

 

drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4.0K May 19 02:19 attachments

drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4.0K May 19 02:19 downloads

drwxrwxrwx 2 root root 4.0K May 19 03:37 templates_c

 

the config file has;

$templates_compiledir = "/home/whmcs/templates_c/";

$attachments_dir = "/home/whmcs/attachments/";

$downloads_dir = "/home/whmcs/downloads/";

 

 

do you guys have any suggestions?
