handsonwebhosting
Hi folks, We have a client that is adamant that there's an error in WHMCS regarding uploading of files to a ticket attachment. We have several thousand clients and receive dozens of attachments per day from clients for everything from pdf, doc, txt and png files with no issues, just this one client. The client is able to use Firefox to upload the files, but refuses to use it - he wants it working in Internet Explorer. I haven't been able to find anything in the logs on the server to say why the attachment is not working. He clicks the button, gets the popup, browses and selects the file, but when he clicks Submit, it doesn't attach. Does anyone have any ideas if IE has logs on the clients computer that can be checked, or anyone have issues with WHMCS and IE attaching files? I've asked the client to check browser plugins, antivirus software etc - but they state that none of that is an issue. They also state that they have no issues with other websites (gmail, yahoo, their online store, wordpress uploads, forum attachments etc etc) - that it's strictly our helpdesk. Anyone have a thought?
openmind
Do you know what version of IE he's using?
handsonwebhosting
IE 9. I've tested it here in both 7, 8 and 9 and I don't have any issues on my end. 7 of my techs have also tested with version 9 on their individual computers (we're all located in different parts of the country) - and no issues reported there either.
m8internet
Canned response required : We have tested on three different computers and no issue has been found, this suggests this is a local computer issue
handsonwebhosting
I'm of the same understanding too - client refuses to believe it. I figured I'd do due diligence and post here to see if anyone else ran into such situation within WHMCS. Thanks for everyone's input. If anyone *IS* able to duplicate it, I'm interested.
