tkalfaoglu
Hi there. It is with great sadness that I learned that the softlayer is closing down a datacenter, and of course, the data center that I'm using. So I will need to move all my stuff elsewhere. I was wondering if just doing plesk backup - restore at new site is enough for whmcs, or are there any other gotchas I need to be aware of? PS: The IPs will definitely change.. Thanks! -turgut
tkalfaoglu
Btw, I don't plan on using them again -- too expensive for the hardware they provide..
m8internet
Don't have experience of Plesk, but should be easy enough Put WHMCS into Maintenance mode Backup the HTML content Backup the MySQL database Import the HTML content, change any permissions if required (if they did not transpose) Import the MySQL database Login to WHMCS, check the clients, products, services, email templates, etc Once it all looks as it should, remove the Maintenance Mode cPanel is even easier, just backup the entire site and then import
rke211
You need to reissue the WHMCS license via the control panel when you move it so that the IP Address is updated and the license is marked as valid
