rldev
Is the globalsign one click ssl the only autmotaded procedure to install the certificate for the client? Is GlobalSign One click SSL worth the price difference on say Organizational and EV certificates? $359 vs $125(GeoTrust) for an ev cert is certainly a huge difference. I know the likes of Verisign, Norton and Thawte are even crazier though.
rldev
Also how does this process work in relation to ip addresses. How can the provisiong install the certificate, if the user doesn't have a dedicated ip address?
Sliffer21
SSL Certificates require a dedicated IP address, and Extended Validation will require personal information or the information of the business that the site represents.
rldev
Yes I understand ssl requires an ip address. I am wondering about the merit such automation if an ip address is not automatically provisioned with it. Sliffer21
I believe it will give you an installation error and you will still pay for the SSL it just will not be installed
rldev
I guess I am trying to ask how do people deal with that issue? It kind of takes the bite out of the automation of it.
