Limit registration to USA and CA only

I have considered a few things, moding the tpl files and adding the html option tag to only allow two items USA and Canada and commenting out whatever function pulls up the full drop down list.

 

But i wanted to check here, is there a better way, is there a way inside whmcs to limit client registraitons to those two countries inside whmcs?

 

Or

 

advise if my idea will work and should i do that or wait for the option to possible come out in furture upgrades?

No need to modify the templates, unless you want to add text "USA and Canada only"

 

If you simply want to restrict US and CA only :

includes/countries.php

Remove all but CA and US

 

The next issue is that a customer could simply select either, but not actually be from those countries

Therefore you need to setup fraud protection and/or make it very clear to customers that orders received from customers outwith USA and Canada will be rejected and fully refunded

 

I tried restricting some countries, it made no difference

As an example, businesses in the UK cannot trade with certain countries

However the customer selects a country that does appear in the list...

Equally their PayPal account is in that same country

This is currently an issue with the customers I previously had in Egypt

Thank you for that input, yeah its a challenge for sure but some of my agreements are that i only market and do business with those in USA and CA, i would love to do some business with the UK but i cant and besides you probably already have that wrapped up lol...
