mrprez
I am about at the end of my rope and I forgot to tie a knot in it. Everyday about half of my PP subscriptions are not posting. They do not show up in the gateway log. I have opened a ticket with PP but they say the problem is on my end not theirs. I maintain that if they were sending the IPN to the script, then it would show up in the log. Does anyone else have these issues? These subscriptions are not ones that were started from WHMCS but from other billing systems. Again, some of them get posted some don't. Also, I get some that fail due to an apostrophe somewhere in the IPN message, usually in the business name. These don't get posted either. WHMCS CEO Matt Posted July 18, 2007 WHMCS CEO Share Posted July 18, 2007 Callbacks for a subscription will always go to the URL specified when the subscription was created. Therefore, if your old system set an url for callbacks when creating the subscription, the callbacks will still be going there and not to WHMCS. PayPal refuse to change this url if requested so the only way to get them going into WHMCS is to cancel them and have clients create a new one which can be done from the client area. mrprez
Thanks Matt. I guess I will continue to post them manually, as it was like pulling teeth to get them to signup in the first place. John

TurboHostUSA
This was the main reason why i stopped using paypal for my subscriptions. Paypal is not very helpful when it come to helping you track down lost subscription payments. Try getting a merchant account or using another 3party processor.

TurboHostUSA
Those types of customer I can live without. Paypal was cool back in the day but now they've gotten very slow on support and im my opinion nobody will ever take you as a serious business if thats all you use as a processor.

Oh, i agree completely, but it still must be an option in my opinion. I use my merchant account (cdgcommerce), paypal, check, and very soon, google checkout.
TurboHostUSA
I totally stopped using paypal as option all together: To many problems for too little money. Im waiting to see what google is going to do.
mrprez
I already have a merchant account, I also have about 300 PP subscriptions. About half are posting properly half are not. There is no rhyme or reason to why. Still getting invalid gateway responses if there is an apostrophe in the IPN post from PP.
