Security Question Answers blank / case sensitive

I am finding that every once in a while a customer cannot change their password because it won't accept the security question answer. I look at the profile and find the answer is blank. I then have to manually change the question to none. This shouldn't happen!

 

I also have noticed that the process of verifying the security question answer is case sensitive. This can be a real pain and should really not be case sensitive since it isn't a password.
