jhamon
Hi, What I've found it seems to depend on the email address from your Paypal account you use. If it is the main email address seems to be fine and if you use any other email gives you an error about invalid receiver email. If it is the main email address seems to be fine and if you use any other email gives you an error about invalid receiver email I don't use the main email address used within WHMCS and it works fine What you do need to make sure is that the PayPal email address within WHMCS payment gateway matches the PayPal account or one of the optional email addresses However this error is more likely from not setting up the call-back script within the Merchant Account at PayPal Presumably the transaction ID is not showing in the WHMCS payment
blink
So it happens when the API username is not the same as the PayPal EMail field? The PayPal EMail field is the email used for payments but the API Username is using another email which is the primary one.
blink
However this error is more likely from not setting up the call-back script within the Merchant Account at PayPal Presumably the transaction ID is not showing in the WHMCS payment What would be causing that?
rdavis
Is your IPN set correctly with PayPal? Check under your profile settings with PayPal to be sure this is set to on and set correctly to respond to your purchases. https://cms.paypal.com/us/cgi-bin/?cmd=_render-content&content_ID=developer/e_howto_admin_IPNIntro Instant Payment Notification (IPN)You have turned on the IPN feature. You can view your IPNs on the IPN History page. If necessary, you can resend IPN messages from that page. For more information on using and troubleshooting this feature, read more about Instant Payment Notification (IPN). To stop receiving IPNs permanently, click Turn Off IPN. Current settings Notification URL http://www.yourwebsite.com/whmcs/x/x/x Message delivery Enabled This is what responds to a purchase from your Payment Gateway WHMCS account: API Username: sales_api1.yourwebsite.com PayPal Email: sales@yourwebsite.com They all have to match from Paypal and WHMCS. blink
Yea, IPN is correct. set it as http://domain.tld/clients I made billing@ email primary as well. However, the api user name is still using my other email which is a personal one when I recreated it.
