Project Management Addon

Recommended Posts

Hi Matt,

I have a few bugs for you to squash in the next version! If you'd like more info, you can mail me at ben at primexeon dot com

1. Projects not appearing

When I first went to the main admin page, the projects were not appearing, although it said there are two records found: http://ben90.com/snap/u2cxh4.png Clearing all cookies for the domain and logging back in solved it, but still a bug none-the-less.

2. Project Due in "15369 days"

When you save a projects settings, the "due in" value goes crazy until you refresh: http://ben90.com/snap/dq8274.png

3. Pound (£) Symbol in title

If you put a pound symbol in the project title, it looks funny: http://ben90.com/snap/pszt1n.png http://ben90.com/snap/29r9v3.png

4. Task editing task timings

If you edit the task name without touching both of the timings, it screws up: http://ben90.com/snap/6mjf71.png - Clicking end task gives http://ben90.com/snap/a4is9a.png The issue appears to be related to date formats (e.g. 01/30/2012 vs 30/01/2012), possibly related to WHMCS localisation settings?

5. Rate Value Calculated incorrectly

In the case where there is an hours labour and the rate is set to 100, the amount should be 100, but it appears as 4.00: http://ben90.com/snap/wrz613.png

6. Staff message board line spacing

Too many spaces are being added: http://ben90.com/snap/w7wdnq.png

I'll update this post if I find any more. Other than these, the system seems to work well. Definitely looking forward to the next release!

Cheers

Ben

I've found that when editng a task it doesn't use the chosen date format but displays the date in MM/DD/YYYY format. If you edit one of the field it will be placed in the chosen date format which is in my case DD/MM/YYYY. This results in some very large amount of times being recorded.

edit: Ooops, I didn't notice this had already been mentioned above.

hi

ive got problem #2 aswell, "2. Project Due in "15369 days"" and one other thing im not sure maybe im missing something?

ive completed a project and got paid for it, the widget on the home page under column "Days Left / Due In" still shows 'due in 5 days' in red when this project status has been changed to completed, why is this so?

thanks guys, top addon by the way

I believe I've found a bug with the latest version.

When clicking "Bill Now and Send Invoice Created Email" - it expands and shows the proper entries, but when finalizing - it creates a blank invoice.

There also does not appear to be a way to delete associated Invoices (unless I'm missing something). Therefore, when it creates the blank Invoice, and that Invoice is then deleted, it leaves a blank entry for that Associated Invoice section.

#1 is not something we've had any other reports of or been able to reproduce here. And #s 4, 5 & 6 should be resolved in the current release. Can confirm #2 but as you say, it is fine on the next page load.

Also from the main Project page. Click view staff logs, and it takes you out of the project addon and puts you in the report's page.

Not really a bug, but definitely annoying

The staff log is a report, as is the project and time work analysis, so viewing those will take you to the reports area.

Will check into this. But I can confirm there is no way to de-associate an invoice at this time.

1. When clicking view all tasks the "Days Left" shows things like Due 15425 Days Ago.

Am unable to reproduce this one here.

It's a nice system, but we're still seeing major bugs and missing features. It's been a year, are there going to be any updates, or is this system being retired?

Major Feature Needed:

Ability to edit and add to task list templates.

Major bug:

When editing a task, if you edit an employees time on the task and save, all of the times on the task disappear and you lose all time information.

Sweet....looks like you may have fixed this bug with the main WHMCS update. Good to know that you will be updating this system with WHMCS simultaneously. I guess this is something else to look forward to when WHMCS is updated.

Thanks!
