m8internet
I know the Domain Resolver is not perfect, there used to be an advisory somewhere that the response from some Domain Names may be incorrect However I have one Domain Name, with the correct nameservers, that continues to show the Domain Name in the IP address column, instead of the correct IP address Equally a lookup and DNS records check shows the correct Domain Name, nameservers and IP address I had this on another Domain Name for a while but it resolved itself after a few weeks, but this one is stubborn and been like this for around 3 months now The only concern I have is the ISPTAG, MICROLITE, from uk-cheapest.co.uk Their website has been offline for a few weeks now Any ideas or suggestions?
m8internet
This is now getting worse The same Domain Name as before still shows, and I have never found a solution It has now been joined by two others and they have been there for at least 7 days now Equally, on one of these Domain Names the incorrect nameservers are in place, but rather show the incorrect IP address (as the others do) it simply shows the Domain Name
othellotech
it shows the domain name if no A record is returned from the lookup - it'll be a misconfiguration of your resolvers, or a misconfiguration of the dns zone
m8internet
it shows the domain name if no A record is returned from the lookup - it'll be a misconfiguration of your resolvers, or a misconfiguration of the dns zone These Domain Names are not under my control, the customer has updated the nameservers at their own provider Looks like I will just have to live with it... I have checked the A records, using IntoDNS, and this appears to be correct as at least one IP address is returned (and it matches the secondary nameservers IP address) I have checked other Domain Names and all entries are identical Edited May 3, 2012 by m8internet
