ACCOUNTS NOT BEING CREATED

hoosierweb

Question

I have just installed the 15 day free trial.. set up a test product..

I have a dedicated server with a reseller account that has full rights

now I have created 3 orders.. setting the admin to create the account at the time of purchase.. to which I got emails saying the account was set up but none of the info was actual.. the accounts are not set up via whm main control panel or within the reseller account

I then set it for manual creation.. and when I do that I get this error with no emails being sent

Server Command Error

Account Creation Failed: Socket Connection Failed (Success)

Any ideas?

I can assure you I search the broad topic before I was able to see the error.. which wasn't until I switched it to manual activate and had already started the post

the kb /knowledgebase.php?action=displayarticle&catid=8&id=34 does not seem apply to my error as from what i am seeing, it isn't timing out

it emails me when set on auto 9without creating an account) and doesn't email when set to manual with the above error (Success)

But I do have a pretty hardened server so anything is possible. I havebeen unable to find any ssh command line info on

BTW, my whm runs on port 2087 for security reasons.. maybe this is the issue.. where/how can I change it to use port 2087

Hey,

I'm guessing you are running cPanel version 11?

Their are some known bugs with WHMCS and cPanel 11 (in terms of reporting). So it could give you a socket error, however the account should be created.

Can you login to WHM and check and make sure that the account has been created?

Also,

When you place an order, that doesn't mean the account will be created as soon its placed. Depending on the settings you have for that plan, it may be created after payment is sent, or right after its ordered.

Double check on that.

To use SSL connection with cPanel, login to WHMCS Admin Area and go to Configuration > Manage Servers > {Your Server} and mark the checkbox Tick to use SSL Mode for Connections

You can also PM me the IPs of both the server WHMCS is located and the server you are trying to connect to, and I can run nmap which will tell if the correct ports are open.

Let me know how it goes,

Adam

This issue is caused when your PHP build does not have support for ssl connections with the fsockopen command. If your WHM does not run on port 2086 then you can't simply untick the box to use a secure connection as most would do in this situation but you'll need to recompile your PHP to support SSL for connections.

Adam, seen you mention there's bugs with cPanel 11 a few times now, to confirm there are no bugs with the current release and cPanel 11 that cause errors except for changing passwords and disk usage updating.

Those were the ones I was talking about, any reporting functions (diskspace, bandwidth, etc)

Sorry for any confusion or and miss-leading post.

Glad its working,

Adam
