New license question

Question

Hello to all,

I am considering moving away from a "shared/reseller" plan with a hosting company and going to a VPS solution with another company. I will have to provide my own WHMCS license and am planning on going with the "Monthly Branded" license and have a few questions;

  • How are future updates handled? Are they automatic or will I have to implement them when they come out?
  • What kind of support can I expect? I have posted here on a few occasions and never gotten any replies to my queries, what guarantee is there for support?
  • Is the eNom reseller account included for free or is there a cost?
  • Will I be able to transfer my existing eNom clients over to my new account easily, the other host seems to havee their hand in it somehow.
  • Has anyone used Liquid Web for their provider?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Thanks for your interest in using WHMCS. In answer to your questions:

1. We release updates regularly. But you do have to install them yourself when we do. We provide detailed release notes for every update to make upgrading easy: http://docs.whmcs.com/Upgrading

2. We do not provide support via the forums. Forums are intended to be for user to user discussion. You just need to open a ticket for support, and monthly keys include full support whilever the license remains active.

3. An Enom Reseller Account is something we provide free to all direct license holders. There's no setup fee and you only have to pay for the domains you want to register.

4. Yes if you already have domains with Enom, but in another account, then you can simply push them to the new one free of charge.

I cannot comment on Liquid Web. Hope this helps.

Matt
