security_man
lets say i have a client that orders something over the phone. i have their credit card on file and they want to pay for the order right then. How do i do that? if i add a payment in the invoice, it doesnt actually process the card, it acts like i processed it somewhere else and am just logging that transaction.
NixDot
For things to run smoothly some form of processor is needed, mainly for security/fraud reasons. Many banks have auto systems in place that simply won't allow a card to be used without a large-scale CC processor signature/certificate. As far as I know WHMCS does exactly as you describes and just makes a record of the information, there's no in-built processor. scurrell
If you do have a payment processor, and the card details are stored, then you use the "Attempt Capture" button on the invoice, not add a payment.
