Insert YES/NO into fields based on status

Recommended Posts

Hi folks,

We have a new software package that we're rolling out to our existing clients. By default, all ACTIVE clients would be enrolled in system, but would have the ability to opt-out.

Fairly easy - just create a custom client field with a dropdown YES/NO.

We'll now want to send out a mailer to only those active clients with YES checked.

-- no problem, use mass mail, set the ACTIVE flag and the Custom field to YES.

The question I have is that I would need to pre-populate the database with YES/NO on each of the clients.

Does anyone have the SQL Insert information to be able to mass update all clients with the YES field (if they're active)?

My brain is not working :(
