Using a SKU Number?

I was wondering if anyone has entered product/services that also have a SKU associated with it, which we must print on invoices, and reports. How would you do that? Would it be somthing like "SKU-Description" for the name? Or is there a better way to do this?

Yes, you could do that

After all the product title is just that

You can then use the search facility within WHMCS to see which clients have purchased that SKU

 

Alternatively you could add it to the product description, that way it is not so obvious to customers, this would also be found during the search
