CIRA WHOIS Opt-out

Hi,

 

I want to double check something about CIRA .CA Registrations and the language file. So to be perfectly clear, this question is about the default language (English) text and not about the function of the form.

 

The CIRA .CA process through WHMCS has a tick-box option for labelled WHOIS Opt-out for individual registrations. However, the descriptive language is this:

 

"Tick to hide your contact information in CIRA WHOIS (only available to individuals)"

 

I believe this description is backwards.

 

How can it be WHOIS Opt-out and then "tick to hide WHOIS".

 

My understanding is that "individual" registrations with CIRA automatically receive their WHOIS Privacy so you would tick to REVEAL your contact information. Your only OPT-out option is to REVEAL your information and not HIDE your information.

 

Can others who know and register .CA domains confirm this for me?
