kers7754
Currently I am running all my customer's websites though leased dedicated linux servers from Go Daddy. I would like to purchase my own servers and have a reliable backup plan incase of hardware failure. Does it make sense to hardware balance 2 identical servers? I am thinking about serving traffic to 1 server and have that server write all data to a second server. In case of a hardware failure, I would have the balancer serve traffic to the second server while I fix the first. Does anyone have any suggestions on doing this a better way?
mylove4life
can be done, but unless you are a server admin you will have problems with it, and most places with be worthless when it comes for help to support it..
ocosa
Seems like you have it mapped out. Are you using any control panels (i.e. cpanel, plesk, directadmin, etc) ? What type of hardware balance are you talking about? Like F5 Networks gear or cluster within linux?
