Giving time credit

Hey,

I use the credit function with in WHMCS. So when the next invoice is due, it adds it in and the client gets credit. Its much easier then refunding payments.

You can also offer free months of service and such. Both ways work.

So in other words, instead of changing a renewal date by one month to give a month's credit. you just credit them the amount of their monthly invoice, so that it gets generated with zero due and marked as paid?

Hey,

It depends, I hardly give out free months of service, most of the time credit like $10.00, etc. But when I do give out free months of service, I always credit them. It makes it easier on billing. When I look back a month from now, I can see that the invoice has a due of $0.00 and ask why! I then open up the ticket and look at the notes section. My staff or I usually add a note to the ticket saying why it has a due of $0.00.

But your way works just as well. :)
